Please consider the following guidelines when composing your abstract:
Incomplete proposals or those, which are received in different formats or after
the deadline, may not be accepted.
Participants may submit up to two different proposals as long as the content of
each is different.
Abstracts and presentations must be written in English or Spanish.
Presenters who do not receive a negative reply within six weeks may consider
their proposal as having been accepted for oral or Poster presentation.
Presenters whose abstracts are accepted for presentation must attend ICAA
Cancun 2010 and are required to pay the registration fee and all other expenses
involved in attending the meeting.
For oral presentations, a beamer will be provided. Other equipment (Powerpoint etc) will be
available upon specific request made in advance.
Authors of poster presentations should bring copies of their poster for display at
the poster exhibition.
Computer-based presentations (PowerPoint ®, etc.) will be collected at the
conference and with the author’s consent will be published on the conference
website.
The body of the abstract may be a maximum of 350 words and shall include:
Introduction: An introductory paragraph containing the principle
objectives of the action, intervention or programme and its context.
Methods: A paragraph describing the methods explaining the
practical models of the action, intervention, project, or programme,
the population concerned, the location of the action and the means
and techniques of evaluation.
Results: A paragraph outlining the results and providing the changes
or the lack of change incited by the programme. Graphs, tables or
illustrations should be avoided.
Discussion: A conclusion and discussion paragraph giving a critical
analysis of the results obtained.
